Position Overview
Virginia Based
The Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating facilities operations across multiple mission-critical sites in Virginia. This role, which is crucial for effective talent acquisition, requires strong expertise in electrical and mechanical infrastructure, exceptional leadership, and the ability to standardize processes while building and guiding high-performing teams through effective leadership recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Oversight & Leadership
Provide direct leadership to Site Facilities Managers across assigned campuses.
Ensure consistent use of SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs across all facilities.
Act as the primary escalation point for site-level incidents, emergencies, and operational decisions.
Operational Excellence
Maintain 99.999% uptime through preventive maintenance and risk mitigation.
Oversee audits, inspections, and compliance reviews at federal, state, and local levels.
Monitor and improve facility performance metrics across sites.
Project & Budget Management
Direct regional capital projects and infrastructure upgrades with a focus on sustainability and efficiency.
Lead budget planning, forecasting, and cost control in partnership with Finance.
Manage vendor contracts and SLA compliance.
Safety & Training
Ensure OSHA compliance and a strong safety culture across facilities.
Partner with safety leaders to deliver ongoing training and emergency readiness.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the regional point of contact for escalations and customer discussions.
Deliver regular performance and risk reports to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
10+ years in mission-critical facilities management (data centers or similar).
At least 5 years of multi-site or regional leadership.
Deep technical knowledge of UPS, generators, HVAC, power distribution, BMS/EPMS.
Strong background in infrastructure upgrades, construction projects, and project management.
Expertise in budgeting, vendor management, and cost control.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with proven ability to lead diverse teams.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
OSHA 30 certification required.
Preferred: CSP, PMP, NFPA 70E, or other advanced safety/project certifications.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary: $125,000 - $145,000 (DOE)
