The Robotics and Automation Engineer will play a key role in developing and implementing automation systems and robotic solutions to support large-scale investments in manufacturing efficiency. This role requires strong technical expertise in robot programming, PLCs, and integration with the ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and deliver robust systems into production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement automation and robotics systems for production.
Program, integrate, and commission automation equipment during installation and start-up.
Lead projects from concept through commissioning and production hand-off.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in production, quality, and engineering.
Optimize automated processes to improve throughput, uptime, and quality.
Support multiple new automation cells planned for rollout over the next several years.
Train and support operators and technicians on new automation systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field strongly preferred.
3+ years in automation, robotics, or controls engineering.
Practical experience with robot programming (Fanuc preferred).
Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, and PLC platforms (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
Demonstrated success in commissioning and troubleshooting automation systems.
Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, solutions-driven mindset.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $120,000 - $150,000 (DOE).
Discretionary annual bonus.
